Welcome to my little language school “Sorki, mam korki”  .
We currently teach languages: Polish for foreigners, Slovak, Slovenian and Bulgarian.

Each of our teachers is a real language enthusiast . Always with positive energy , smiling, and of course professional.

We have several years of experience in learning foreign languages. Our teachers graduated from Philological Studies (Slavic Philology). But learning doesn’t stop with graduation, so our teachers continue to develop their language skills and learn new languages, such as: German, Russian, Italian or Spanish.

                                                                           Why us?

1. First of all:

approach to a person - we have an individual approach to each new student, whom we try to motivate and encourage to learn interesting languages ​​and cultures of other countries. We prepare exercises and topics that are tailored to each person and level. We combine listening (videos), speaking, grammar, reading and writing.  

2. What about the textbook?

We mainly use materials that we create ourselves for the purposes of studying, but of course we use ready-made materials such as textbooks or exercises.  

3. Goals:

The goal is the most important thing - we always ask about the goal of learning a given language, it is important to set a specific goal at the beginning: “I learn because I need a language for work or e.g. in the family circle”. We believe that setting a goal and achieving it gradually is the basis of each lesson. It is best if our goal (at the beginning) does not relate to the very distant future (e.g. 5 or 10 years). A good way is to set new goal every two months. We gradually achieve one goal, and then we can set another one.  

4. A good story over coffee.

We create exercises, texts, stories adapted to the level and needs of each student (the stories we create with exercises are unique , they help not only repeat the material, but are also an interesting addition to learning and you will not find them in any textbook ). 

5. Everybody makes mistakes…

Apart from exercises and texts, we place the greatest emphasis on speaking and conversation . We help overcome language barriers . We believe that it is better to speak with errors than not to speak at all. And you shouldn’t be afraid of mistakes, because thanks to them we learn too. 

6. Perfect method?

We use different teaching methods (let’s face it, there is no one perfect teaching method for everyone), that’s why we use different methods that we often combine with each other, e. g. Question and answer method, Total immersion (for the brave people), “The teacher" method, method for associations etc.
These are just a few of the many methods, which we also modify according to the needs of our students; the above methods are an individual matter and we often use several methods that we combine; the selection of appropriate methods (because it is never one method) usually takes place after several lessons. 

7. Oh, it’s best to remember.

How many time You’ve heard that from another teacher or person? Learning a language is of course learning grammar, vocabulary, etc., but we should start with training our brain , which is why we also use methods that train our brain, and thus improve our memory (which is great for learning vocabulary). 

8. Train at home by yourself!

We teach, but we also show how you can learn the language yourself and practice what you are learning.
